Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the 2018 BIMA Bash! It’s amazing people like you that make this event possible and enable us to light up our community with art throughout the year.

The Auction will take place Friday, June 8th and Saturday, June 9th at the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art. Volunteering entitles you to a complimentary ticket ($75 value) to Friday event plus we will have a thank you celebration after the event for all of our volunteers.

After you have read the Roles and Descriptions below, please fill out an application HERE . Your Volunteer Position Preference should be Events and your Interests should be determined based on the positions listed below. Please list 3 interests. 

 

VOLUNTEER ROLES AND DESCRIPTIONS:

Below are the different opportunities available for volunteers at this year’s auction. Please READ FULL VOLUNTEER POSITION DESCRIPTIONS CAREFULLY before making your selection. Note the varying dates and times,  as well as positions that require previous experience.

Set-up / Clean-up
**Lots of openings available**
Watch the magic unfold as we transform the galleries into a beautiful and lively atmosphere for this event! We will set tables, put up signage, set-up the bars, add razzle dazzle, and much more! Must be able to lift tables, chairs, and set-up equipment.
Shifts
Friday: 3:00pm – 5:30pm
Saturday: 10:00am – 5:00pm (various shifts available) / 9:00pm – 10:00pm
Sunday: 10:00am – 11:30am

Bartenders
**Lots of openings available**
If you are MAST certified, come on down and get in the heart of the action! Events will have beer, wine and a signature cocktail (cocktail Saturday only) and our guests love their libations!
Shifts: Friday, 5:30pm – 8:45pm / Saturday, 4:30pm – 6:30pm

Greeters / Ambassadors
Greeters and Ambassadors will be the front line to the BIMA Bash experience! Be in the mix of all the excitement while you engage with our guests and answer any questions they may have.
Shifts: Friday – 5:30pm – 7:00pm, 7:00pm – 9:00pm / Satuday –  5:15pm – 6:30pm

Parking Attendants / Ushers
The Gateway complex has limited parking so we are looking for folks to help direct traffic accordingly. Attendants will also assist guests after check-out.
Shifts: Friday, 5:00pm – 7:00pm, 7:45pm – 9:00pm / Saturday, 4:15pm – 6:00pm

Raffle Ticket Sellers
Get dazzled up and help sell some tickets to win fabulous art and prizes! Sellers will engage with guests and answer any questions about our raffle.
Shifts: Friday 5:30pm – 8:30pm

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
– All Volunteers must fill out background check prior to event
– Teen Volunteer positions available for volunteer hours
– Friday Volunteers will be given bidder number for any auction bidding
– Saturday Volunteers are not eligible to bid on auction items without a pre-purchased ticket
– Volunteer orientation dates: Orientations will be held the week prior to the event.
